Mistreated Windows

It’s true, I have mistreated my kitchen windows.
But first, I neglected them.  For almost two years, they were trimless.  Like in this old picture of Adam. sitting on the counter.

Then, last March, the trim went up, but it wasn’t painted.  Some of it was primed.  But the trim, and the windows themselves, all needed to be painted.

I finally got around to painting the trim, hanging curtain rods, and “mistreating” the windows this week.  (If you’re not sure what it means to “mistreat” windows, you really need to pay The Nester a visit.)

Aren’t they beautiful?  And they were cheap.  And easy.  I’ll tell you more about that in a tutorial I’m working on.

I think I spent more time cleaning the kitchen and photographing it than I did on the window (mis)treatments.  But I love the results!

What about you?  Are you mistreating any windows in your house?  Or simply neglecting them?
