Favorites on Friday

Hey party people…

It’s Friday!

AND it’s Laura Ingalls Wilder’s birthday!  She was born 147 years ago today.  Can you imagine what it would have been like to live on the prairie when she was a girl?  I wish I could go back and see it!

Laura’s books are so amazing – I’ve been slowly reading them to Adam and I am amazed at the nuggets of wisdom I’ve been coming across.

For example:

(By the way, feel free to print these!)

Other Favorites today include:

Unfinished Projects by Sawdust & Embryos.  My whole house is an unfinished project.  Hop on over and see what Bethany has to say about it.

*This blog post from Dugans in Cahoots.  Not just because their living room and my dining room are twins.  But because she took the words right out of my mouth.

*Ordering online from OldNavy.  I hopped on to get my 5 year old some plain long sleeve t-shirts for this never-ending winter.  (He needs them to wear under his short-sleeved superhero tees) and I ended up getting myself a few things as well:

Last but not least, the LEGO movie is finally here!  I’m taking the boys to see it tomorrow.  Can’t wait!

  2. Happy Friday! I grew up loving Little House on the Prairie books. I've always wanted to make that maple syrup on snow.

  3. I'm late to the party...but, loved the post. Laura Ingalls Wilder was my favorite as a young girl. I nearly memorized those books. My own daughters loved them as well. Over the years, we've done a lot of the things that Laura did. When I was homeschooling, we had a whole year's curriculum based on those books. That was pretty awesome.
    I love the printables, too.
    Thanks for sharing.
