Calling fellow bloggers - help!

I haven't blogged in awhile because of technical difficulties.  Here's the situation...

I blog on blogger, but use a program called Windows Live Writer to actually write my posts.  It makes it sooo much easier and I've been using it for a couple of years.

Well, just over a month ago, my laptop finally bit the dust, so I upgraded to a new one with Windows 8.  Windows Live Writer (blog writing program) doesn't work on Windows 8.  There is supposed to be a "What-you-see-is-what-you-get" blog writer someone on Windows 8, but I can't find it.  Microsoft Word can supposedly connect to a blog account but I can't get mine to work.  I've tried other blog writer/editors and don't like them, so I'm just having a terrible time getting something onto my blog!

When things slow down next month (didn't I say that would happen this month?  How come it never works the way I expect?) I'll be switching to wordpress.  But until that happens, does anyone have a desktop blog editor that they actually like?

Would you like to comment?

  1. Blogger has a what you see is what you get editor that I think has changed; have you tried that one lately?

  2. Katie, Dave claims that you should still be able to use Live Writer. Shoot me an email and tell me what kind of computer, operating system, and what internet browser you're using and he *might* be able to help you.

I am in love with Live Writer. I would cry if I lost it!
